Comfort Footworks is a family-owned footwear and foot care store in Matthews, NC that has been serving the foot care needs of the area for over 20 years. We have the same skilled staff in place, and some of our employees have been in the shoe industry for over 30 years.
We have a Certified Shoe Fitter and board-certified pedorthists on staff to work with your most challenging foot concerns. We believe in good old-fashioned customer service and care — we take the time to measure your feet, get to know your concerns, and then guide you to the proper shoes and orthotics.

Paul is a second-generation pedorthist with over 34 years of clinical experience fitting therapeutic footwear and custom orthotics. He is ABCOP board certified and does all shoe modifications and custom orthotic fabrication in-store. Whether you're dealing with plantar fasciitis, diabetic foot care, or just need a shoe that actually fits — Paul and his team are here to help.
Madi
Board-Certified Pedorthist, C.Ped
Madison has been working in the footwear industry since January 2019 and loves helping people find the shoe that's the right fit and function for their needs. When she's not at the store, you'll find her making jewelry or spending time with her dogs.
Myka
Fitting Specialist
A native Charlottean with deep roots in the Matthews area. Myka joined Comfort Footworks as a customer first — and loved the experience so much she became part of the team. Her favorite shoes are Finn Comfort's Gomera sandals because, as she says, it's hard not to love a shoe that fits like a dream.
Jim
Certified Therapeutic Shoe Fitter
Jim started working in footwear in 1982 and is a certified fitter of therapeutic shoes with decades of experience. He's fitted everything from custom orthotics to diabetic footwear. When he's not at the store, he loves spending time with his two- and four-legged family members.
Pam
Senior Fitting Specialist
Pam has been with Comfort Footworks for 15 years. She's gathered a wealth of knowledge from hands-on training, working alongside certified professionals, and reading educational articles about feet and foot care. Her favorite brands are Finn Comfort, Naot, and Taos.
