Details
Orthofeet Blaire, a women's ankle boot in water-repellent leather with Orthofeet's hands-free heel. You step down on the heel counter, it collapses, then springs back, so the boot goes on without bending. A side strap sets the fit and a gore panel lets the boot flex with the ankle.
Ortho-Cushion sole with a no-slip tread. Removable orthotic insole, and Orthofeet's extra-depth last is the reason this brand is in the store: Blaire is stocked in Medium, Wide and X-Wide, which almost no dress-style boot offers. It takes a custom orthotic with room to spare.
Medium, Wide or X-Wide? Medium (B) if your regular shoes fit across the ball of the foot. Wide (D) if you size up for room or have a bunion. X-Wide (2E) for a bulky orthotic, swelling, or an extra-depth prescription. The strap adjusts the ankle, not the forefoot. Not sure on width? Call (704) 846-0301.
Stocked in Mushroom, Chocolate and Black, sizes 5 to 12 in half sizes; Chocolate starts at 6 and Black runs 6 to 9.5 right now.
